The Health Promotion and Wellness(HPW) department within San Francisco State University had originally utilized a logo(left) that represents 7 different health areas(sexual health, nutrition, men's health, alcohol tobacco and other drugs, mental health, violence prevention and basic needs). In 2023, HPW wanted to consolidate some of the programs and thus, create three new logos to represent them.

The new alcohol, tobacco and other drugs(ATOD) logo, replacing the old yellow lung icon.
The new peer health leadership logo, which has replaced the old basic needs as the old icon, taking on new initiatives while the basic needs area's goals were redistributed.
The new social and emotional wellness logo absorbed both the men's health and violence prevention logos(the 3 orange men and the teal ribbon logos).
